Morocco Secures Gold and Bronze Medals

Islamic Solidarity Games: The Moroccan taekwondo team clinched two medals on Sunday in Riyadh during the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
Champion Haitam Zarhouti secured the gold medal in the -82 kg category after defeating Iranian Amir Reza Sadeghi with a score of 2-0.
In the women’s -51 kg category, champion Oumaima El Bouchti won a bronze medal after her victory over Pakistani Fateemaah Khawar, also with a score of 2-0.
In a statement to the press following the medal ceremony, Haitam Zarhouti emphasized that the -82 kg category in the Islamic world boasts prestigious names among Olympic and world champions, adding that this medal carries significant importance in his athletic career.
With this victory, Morocco has now achieved a total of 13 medals: 6 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze, currently holding eighth place in the medal standings.
