The Inspector General of the Armed Forces meets with the U.S. Army Secretary.

Under the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and General Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, General Inspector of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone held a meeting on Friday at the Southern Zone Headquarters with Daniel Driscoll, U.S. Army Secretary, who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom.

The discussions between the General Inspector of the FAR and the U.S. Army Secretary focused on various aspects of bilateral military cooperation, which continues to evolve positively year after year, according to a statement from the General Staff of the FAR.

Both officials praised the strong relations between the Royal Armed Forces and the U.S. Armed Forces, characterized by regular strategic dialogue and intense, ongoing cooperation activities. This includes the “African Lion” exercise, whose 2026 edition coincides with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence this year.

Following their discussions, the two officials visited the Multinational Joint Task Force (CJTF) Operational Center to observe the ongoing training and the emerging technologies being implemented during this edition of African Lion.
