Maroc Telecom Sees Client Growth, Reaching Nearly 80 Million in Q1 2025

The number of customers for Maroc Telecom has reached nearly 80 million in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting an increase of 3.6% compared to the same period last year.

This growth is primarily driven by the company’s subsidiaries, Moov Africa, which experienced a 6.5% rise, as stated in a press release from Maroc Telecom.

In Morocco, the mobile customer base stood at 18,799,000, a decrease of 2.7% year-on-year, while the fixed-line segment recorded 1,634,000 lines, down by 6.5%.

Internationally, the mobile customer count rose to 57,306,000, distributed across several countries: Burkina Faso (12,122,000), Côte d’Ivoire (12,117,000), Mali (8,302,000), Chad (7,260,000), Benin (5,787,000), Niger (4,000,000), Mauritania (2,502,000), Togo (3,331,000), Gabon (1,626,000), and the Central African Republic (257,000).

In the fixed-line sector, there are 405,000 subscribers, with the following distribution: Mali (258,000), Burkina Faso (69,000), Gabon (69,000), and Mauritania (9,000). Additionally, the fixed high-speed internet segment has reached 281,000 customers.
