Morocco Ranks 11th Globally Again

FIFA Rankings: The Atlas Lions Climb to 11th Place

In the latest FIFA men’s football rankings released on Wednesday by the International Football Association (FIFA), the Atlas Lions of Morocco have climbed one spot to reclaim the 11th position in the world.

With two victories under their belt, Morocco now has a total of 1713.12 points, an increase of 3.01 points compared to the rankings from October. This rise is partly due to the decline of Italy, which has fallen two places to 12th.

Ahead of Morocco are Croatia (10th, +1), with 1716.88 points, Germany (9th, +1) with 1724.15 points, and Belgium in 8th place.

At the top of the leaderboard, the top three teams remain unchanged: Spain holds the 1st position, followed by Argentina in 2nd, and France in 3rd, while England maintains its 4th place.

Brazil has made notable progress, moving up two spots to 5th, followed by Portugal (6th, -1) and the Netherlands (7th, -1).

On the African continent, Morocco stands at the forefront, trailed by Senegal, which is now ranked 19th in the world (-1). Egypt and Algeria follow in 34th and 35th places, respectively.

The most significant progress has been seen lower down in the rankings. Malta (161st) gained 5 spots, while the Republic of Ireland (59th) recorded the largest points increase (+34.86). Conversely, El Salvador (100th) experienced the steepest drop, falling 6 places, and Denmark (21st) lost the highest number of points (-24.27).
