The Inspector General of the FAR Conducts a Working Visit to Ethiopia

At the behest of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Army Corps General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, is undertaking a working visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia from April 23 to 26.
During this visit, the Inspector General of the FAR held a meeting with his Ethiopian counterpart, Marshal Birhanu Jula, Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces. The focus of their discussion was on exploring ways to strengthen bilateral military cooperation, as stated in a communiqué from the General Staff of the FAR.
Both officials expressed their satisfaction with the new dynamic characterizing military relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Ethiopia. In this context, the two parties discussed a draft agreement covering various aspects of bilateral military cooperation aimed at enhancing and broadening the prospects of this partnership, which is set to be signed between the two nations in the near future, according to the communiqué.
During the visit, and in the presence of the Ambassador of HM the King in Addis Ababa, Nezha Alaoui M’Hammdi, Army Corps General Mohammed Berrid had a meeting with the Minister of State for Defense, Marta Luigi, where they discussed ways to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.
The visit also provided the opportunity to tour several military facilities and institutes under the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, including the information network security administration, the Artificial Intelligence Institute, the Bishoftu airbase, and a munitions factory.
