CAF Cup (Group A/Matchday 1): Olympic Safi defeats Malian club Djoliba (1-0)

The Olympic Club of Safi secured a victory against the Malian club Djoliba AC (1-0) on Sunday in Bamako, marking the first matchday of Group A in the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The only goal of the match was scored in the 29th minute by Salaheddine Errahouli, providing a valuable away win for the Moroccan team.
With this win, OCS temporarily leads the group with three points, awaiting the second match between USM Alger and the Ivorian team, San Pedro.
The Safi club will play its next match at home next Sunday at 5:00 PM against USM Alger at El Massira Stadium in Safi. This match is crucial for confirming their successful start and bolstering their chances of qualification.
In this edition of the CAF Cup, Olympic Safi represents Moroccan football alongside Wydad Casablanca. The draw placed them in a challenging group that includes Mali’s Djoliba, USM Alger, and San Pedro from Côte d’Ivoire.
