CAF Cup: Wydad Casablanca Triumphs Over Azam FC

Wydad de Casablanca secured a 1-0 victory at Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar, Tanzania, against Azam FC on Friday during the second round of Group B in the CAF (Confederation of African Football) Confederation Cup.

The only goal of the match came in the 57th minute, where Amrabat unleashed a powerful and unstoppable shot, converting a precise back-heeled pass from Lorch inside the box.

Following the goal, Wydad capitalized on the efforts of the opposing team to launch quick counterattacks, gradually taking control of the game. However, the final fifteen minutes saw a clear dominance from the Tanzanians.

With this victory, Wydad takes sole possession of the top spot in Group B with 6 points, ahead of RD Congo’s Maniema Union with 3 points. The other match in the group will feature Maniema Union facing Nairobi United on Sunday.
