The Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in Safi has announced the suspension of classes in all educational institutions across the province for a period of three days due to exceptional weather conditions.
A Preventive Measure Against Heavy Rains
According to an official statement, this decision was made in coordination with provincial authorities, following torrential rains accompanied by thunderstorms that have affected the province of Safi. Classes will be suspended on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in order to ensure the safety of students as well as educational and administrative staff.
Decision Based on Weather Warnings
The Provincial Directorate specified that this measure is in response to alerts issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology due to potential flood risks, which necessitate vigilance and caution.
Strengthening Coordination and Security Measures
Close coordination has been established with school heads to ensure the safety of all users, particularly through the activation of local monitoring cells, mobilization of relevant stakeholders, and implementation of all necessary preventive measures.
Schools Affected Without Loss of Life
The same source reported that two primary schools were affected by flooding following the heavy rainfall recorded last Sunday, but thankfully, no loss of life was reported.
