OFPPT: 424,000 Positions and 193 New Programs for the 2026-2027 Academic Year
The Office of Vocational Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT) is gearing up for the 2026-2027 academic year with a capacity of 424,000 slots, spread across 513 training institutions. This expansion is accompanied by the introduction of 193 new programs designed to better meet the needs of the job market and businesses.
The training offerings now encompass 658 programs across 19 sectors, which include 342 degree programs, 293 qualification programs, and 23 professional pathways. The recent updates consist of the creation of 39 new programs, the restructuring of 26 existing ones, and the revision of another 128.
These developments target several high-potential sectors, particularly in industry, tourism, cybersecurity, and electronic gaming. New initiatives are also planned in the tourism sector, including programs such as “Cap Excellence Tourisme” and “Middle Management.”
Training sessions for the upcoming academic year will commence on September 11, 2026. The offerings are set to provide 146,637 places in degree programs and 121,402 places in qualification programs, especially for first-year trainees.
Additionally, the network of Career and Skills Cities will be bolstered with the opening of three new centers in Fès, Guelmim, and Errachidia during the 2026-2027 season, bringing the total number of operational centers to 12.
The OFPPT is also advancing the modernization of its infrastructure through five expansion projects and seven renovation projects. Other initiatives include the establishment of a boarding facility at the Agricultural Technical Institute in Taza and the rehabilitation of an existing structure at the Specialized Institute of Applied Technology in Sefrou.
Furthermore, the professional orientation system will be strengthened with 75 orientation centers, including four new centers, with an additional 13 centers scheduled for the 2026-2027 training year.
In parallel, apprenticeship training will continue to expand. About 31,000 trainees are expected to benefit from the “TADAROJ” program in the upcoming season, covering sectors such as electricity, construction and public works, automotive, tourism and hospitality, food service, textiles, and thermal and mechanical engineering.
Through these measures, the OFPPT aims to continue broadening its capacity, diversifying its programs, and modernizing its infrastructure to keep pace with the evolving labor market and the new skills demanded by businesses.
