Casablanca Stock Exchange: Opening in the Green, MASI Gains 0.51%
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened its trading session in the green this Friday, with its main index, the MASI, gaining 0.51% to reach 19,037.7 points, confirming a positive momentum at the start of the session.
The MASI 20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.34% to 1,501.18 points, while the MASI ESG, which tracks companies with the best environmental, social, and governance ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, progressed by 0.76% to 1,252.54 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, reflecting the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, showed a rise of 0.20% to 1,841.13 points.
The Biggest Gainers
Among the top performers at the beginning of the session were M2M Group (+5.11% at 473 DH), Réalisations Mécaniques (+4.81% at 497 DH), Aradei Capital (+4.76% at 440 DH), Akdital (+4.22% at 1,162 DH), and Managem (+3.97% at 6,446 DH).
The Biggest Decliners
On the flip side, CFG Bank (-3.65% at 245.7 DH), Cartier Saada (-3.43% at 33.21 DH), BMCI (-2.97% at 615.20 DH), Bank of Africa (-2.17% at 225 DH), along with an unidentified stock (-1.44% at 82 DH) faced the largest declines.
For reference, the MASI had closed Thursday’s session with a 0.13% gain, reflecting an overall positive trend in the Moroccan stock market.
