Maroc Telecom Reports Positive Performance in Q1 2026
The Maroc Telecom Group has recorded a positive overall performance in the first quarter of 2026, surpassing 76 million subscribers, which reflects an annual growth of 1.8%.
Growth Driven by Africa
This growth is primarily fueled by the strong performance of its African subsidiaries operating under the "Moov Africa" brand, which saw an increase of 3.9%, thereby offsetting the decline observed in the Moroccan market.
Decline in the Domestic Market
Within Morocco, the mobile subscriber base reached 18.1 million, marking a decrease of 3.7%. Meanwhile, fixed-line telephony remained stable at 1.63 million lines, experiencing a slight decline of 0.3%.
Strong Presence on the African Continent
Internationally, the mobile subscriber base has reached 54.2 million across several countries, including Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Benin, Niger, Togo, Mauritania, Gabon, and the Central African Republic, further confirming the group’s robust presence in Africa.
Growth in High-Speed Fixed Broadband
The fixed broadband segment continues to progress, with 343,000 subscribers, highlighting a growing demand for high-speed internet services across the group’s various markets.
