Weather Forecast for Wednesday: Winter Conditions Expected
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a relatively cold day this Wednesday, with local frost formation (commonly referred to as jriha) anticipated in the Atlas mountain ranges.
Dense low clouds, accompanied by light drizzles or mist formations, are expected overnight and during the morning along the Atlantic coasts, particularly north of Essaouira, in the Saïss region, the northern Oriental region, the Souss area, and the northwestern Sahara provinces of the Kingdom.
Strong gusts of wind are also projected in the Tanger region, the Rif, the eastern parts of the country, and along the southern coasts.
Minimum temperatures will range from -3 to 2°C in the Atlas heights, between 7 and 10°C in the Rif and high plateaus, from 16 to 18°C in the southern provinces, and between 12 and 16°C across the rest of the Kingdom.
Maximum temperatures are expected to see a general increase in most regions of the country.
The sea conditions will be rough to very rough in the Mediterranean, particularly between Cape Spartel and Tarfaya, as well as along the southern coasts. The sea will be moderately rough to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar and between Tarfaya and Laâyoune.
