Wydad Overturns Union Touarga to Win in a Thrilling Match

The Wydad Athletic Club staged a spectacular comeback to defeat Union Touarga Sport by a score of 4-3 on Sunday evening at the Ville Stadium in Rabat during the 15th matchday of the Botola Pro “Inwi.”
A Strong Start for Union Touarga
The hosts began the match in the best possible way, scoring quickly through Mohamed Amine Sahl in the 15th minute. Just two minutes later, Nasser Mostaghfir doubled the lead, putting his team in a comfortable position.
However, Wydad reduced the deficit before halftime thanks to Wissam Ben Yedder in the 43rd minute, allowing the Casablanca side to maintain hope. The first half ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Union Touarga.
A Third Goal and a Dramatic Turnaround
At the start of the second half, Union Touarga extended their lead with a third goal by Fouad Zahouani in the 54th minute.
But Wydad refused to give up. Walid Sabbar reignited his team’s chances with a long-range shot in the 78th minute, before Hamza Hannouri equalized in injury time (90+4), despite Walid Nassi’s dismissal in the 83rd minute.
A Decisive Goal in the Final Seconds
The pressure from Wydad continued until the very end. In the dying seconds of injury time, Hamza Mossaddaq scored the winning goal (90+6), giving the Reds a stunning victory (4-3).
Current Standings
With this victory, the Wydad Athletic Club now has a total of 29 points from 12 matches, narrowing the gap to just one point behind the leaders, Raja Club Athletic, who have 30 points from 14 matches.
On the other hand, Union Touarga Sport remains stuck at 9 points after 15 matchdays.
