Weather Forecast for Monday: A Chilly Day Ahead
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a relatively cold day for this Monday, particularly in the Atlas mountains, where temperatures will remain low.
Dense clouds will sweep across various regions of the Kingdom, potentially bringing rain and showers, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms. These precipitation events will primarily affect the eastern high plateaus, the Saïss region, the Rif, the Middle Atlas, as well as the phosphate plateaus and the Oulmès area.
Additionally, the sky will often be overcast in the High Atlas, the western plains, the interior regions of Souss, and the southeast slopes, with light and scattered rain expected in certain localities. Strong gusts of wind are also anticipated along the southern coast.
As for minimum temperatures, they will range between 0 and 6°C in the Atlas mountains, the Rif, and the eastern high plateaus. In the Saïss region, the phosphate plateaus, and Oulmès, temperatures will fluctuate between 6 and 11°C, as well as in the northern Oriental and on the eastern slopes of the Atlas. Elsewhere, temperatures will fall between 11 and 16°C.
Maximum temperatures are set to rise in the central regions, while a decline is expected in the rest of the country.
Finally, sea conditions will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean, with slightly choppy to choppy conditions in the Strait and between Tangier and Tarfaya, while the rest of the Atlantic coast will experience rough seas.
