Risma Sells Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche for 450 Million MAD and Maintains a Strong Presence in Central Casablanca

Risma Group Continues to Optimize Its Hotel Portfolio with Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche Sale
The Risma Group is enhancing its hotel portfolio by selling the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche, a transaction finalized with the signing of a sale agreement valued at 450 million dirhams (MAD).
This strategic move is expected to generate a positive one-time result estimated at around 160 million MAD net by 2026, thereby strengthening the group’s financial structure and investment capacity.
Located in the heart of Casablanca’s business district, the Sofitel Tour Blanche is one of the iconic establishments in the luxury segment. Its sale is part of an asset arbitration strategy, allowing Risma to refocus its resources on more profitable projects with greater growth potential.
Despite this divestment, Risma will maintain a significant presence in Casablanca’s historic center. The group operates the Novotel Casablanca City Center, which features 281 rooms, as well as the Ibis Casablanca City Center with 266 rooms, further solidifying its position in a high-demand strategic area.
As a subsidiary of the Accor Group, Risma is reaffirming its active portfolio management strategy through this transaction, combining targeted divestitures with the development of new assets, particularly in the rapidly expanding premium and lifestyle segments in Morocco.
In light of the robust recovery in the tourism sector, the group aims to improve its margins and strengthen its positioning in highly attractive destinations, while continuing to create value for its shareholders.
