Weather Forecast: Cold Conditions with Variable Precipitation Expected
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts that this Wednesday will bring relatively cold weather, particularly in the Atlas mountains, accompanied by varying precipitation levels across different regions.
Rain and Thunderstorms in the North
Moderate rain or occasional thunderstorms are anticipated in the Rif region and the western Mediterranean coastline. Light and scattered precipitation will also affect the Atlas mountains and their western slopes, as well as the Gharb region, northern Oriental, and the northern parts of the southern provinces.
Strong Winds and Localized Sandstorms
Strong wind gusts are expected in the Atlas, Oriental, southeast regions, and the Saharan provinces, with a possibility of light, localized sandstorms.
Temperature Variations
Minimum temperatures will range from 0 to 4°C in the Atlas mountains, between 16 and 21°C in the southern provinces and southeast, and between 6 and 12°C in other areas. During the day, temperatures will see a slight increase in the southern part of Oriental and southeast, while a decrease is expected in the rest of the country.
Sea Conditions
The Mediterranean Sea will be calm to slightly choppy, while the strait will be moderately to choppy. The Atlantic coasts will experience choppy to rough conditions, with some areas between Agadir and Larache becoming locally strong to very strong.
