The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a relatively cold to chilly day, especially in mountainous areas and high plateaus. Cloudy skies are expected across the Rif, Saïss, Middle Atlas, and northern Oriental regions, with light and sporadic rain showers likely.
Snowfall and Strong Wind Gusts with Dust Blasts
Snow is anticipated in the heights of the Middle Atlas. Additionally, dense low clouds will affect the northwestern provinces of the South. Strong gusts of wind are also expected along the Mediterranean coast, in the Oriental region, Middle Atlas, central coastlines, and Saharan provinces, locally accompanied by dust blasts.
Temperature Fluctuations: Decrease Followed by a Slight Increase During the Day
Minimum temperatures will range from -4 to 3°C in the Atlas mountains, between 3 and 8°C in the Oriental region, phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, and Rif, and between 8 and 15°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will experience a slight increase.
Rough to Very Rough Seas Along the Coasts
The sea will be rough to very rough in the Mediterranean, slightly choppy to rough in the strait, and rough to very rough along the Atlantic coastline, with local areas between Mehdia and Tarfaya potentially experiencing extremely rough conditions.
