Upcoming Heat Wave Alert Across Several Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology announced on Thursday, April 16, that a heatwave is set to impact several regions of the Kingdom from Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19.
Orange Alert Level
In an alert bulletin indicating an "orange" vigilance level, the agency emphasized that this significant rise in temperatures will mainly affect the southern provinces, urging caution during this period.
Expected High Temperatures
Forecasts predict temperatures ranging between 37°C and 40°C in the provinces of Smara, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, Aousserd, Oued Eddahab, and Boujdour.
Recommendations for Citizens
In light of these climatic conditions, citizens are advised to take precautionary measures, including avoiding direct sun exposure during the hottest hours of the day and staying well-hydrated, particularly for vulnerable individuals.
