This initiative includes first- and second-level health centers, rural dispensaries, and local emergency medical units, all rehabilitated and equipped across six regions of the Kingdom. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohamed Mhidia, Wali of Casablanca-Settat, Mr. Jalal Benhayoun, the Governor of Nouaceur Province, and several elected officials.

The commissioning of these facilities aligns with the High Royal Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, regarding the reform and upgrading of the national health system. It is also part of the ongoing government program aimed at rehabilitating primary healthcare institutions, which seeks to reconstruct, modernize, and equip 1,400 health centers throughout the provinces and prefectures of the Kingdom.

In the Casablanca-Settat region, healthcare services have been enhanced with the initiation of 18 new health facilities. Five first-level urban health centers were launched in Nouaceur Province, while Mohammedia Prefecture saw the establishment of a first-level urban health center, a second-level urban health center with a maternity unit, and a diagnostic center for tuberculosis and respiratory diseases. These health centers, which are part of the new generation of primary healthcare establishments, aim to strengthen healthcare provision in the concerned regions and bring medical services closer to citizens. They also seek to address the growing demand for healthcare, improve access to and the quality of services, and optimize the reception, guidance, and care processes.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has equipped these facilities with high-quality medical equipment while mobilizing qualified human resources responsible for delivering medical and nursing services. Beneficiary populations will have access to a diverse range of healthcare offerings, including general medical consultations, nursing care, chronic disease management—particularly for diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses—along with maternal and child health monitoring, school health initiatives, awareness and health education activities, as well as epidemiological surveillance and mobile health services.
