Monday’s Weather: Significant Heat and Thunderstorms Expected in the Atlas Region

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a rise in temperatures for this Monday, with warm weather expected in the northern and central plains, the Souss region, the southeast, and the southern provinces.

Fog and Light Rain on the Coasts

Foggy conditions are anticipated in the morning and during the night, with localized light rain possible along the northern and central coasts.

Showers and Winds with Sand

Unstable clouds will affect the High and Middle Atlas regions, as well as the northern Oriental, potentially leading to localized thunderstorm showers.

Additionally, moderate gusts of wind are expected over the High Atlas and in the center and south of the country, sometimes accompanied by sandstorms.

Rising Temperatures

Minimum temperatures will range from 5 to 12°C in the Atlas and Rif mountains, from 20 to 26°C in the northern Saharan provinces, the Souss, the southeast, and the central plains, and from 13 to 19°C elsewhere.

Daytime temperatures will decrease in the southern Saharan provinces but will rise in the rest of the country.

Sea Conditions

The sea will be pleasant with slight agitation in the Mediterranean and the Strait, and slightly choppy to rough along the Atlantic coasts.
