The 18th edition of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco has been marked by intense diplomatic and agricultural activity, highlighted by a series of bilateral meetings led by Agriculture Minister Ahmed Bouari with several African, Arab, and Caribbean officials.
Strengthening South-South Partnerships
These exchanges particularly involved countries such as Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Uganda, as well as the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development. Discussions focused on common priorities such as food security, livestock development, the modernization of agricultural value chains, and adaptation to climate change.
A Moroccan Vision Centered on African Solidarity
The minister emphasized that this dynamic aligns with Morocco’s vision for an African partnership rooted in solidarity, the sharing of expertise, and the implementation of concrete projects for mutual benefit.
Aligning Priorities with African Partners
African leaders voiced their appreciation for the strong relationship with Morocco. Mali expressed interest in developing animal breeding, while Côte d’Ivoire highlighted its desire to draw inspiration from Morocco’s experience in agricultural production and investment.

Discussions with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development underscored the need to strengthen regional food sovereignty and promote sustainable agricultural systems, in line with Morocco’s "Green Generation" strategy.
Openness Towards the Caribbean
Representatives from the Caribbean region also expressed their eagerness to develop technical partnerships with Morocco, particularly in areas related to agricultural resilience in the face of climate change.
