Weather Report for Saturday, May 2: Warm and Unstable Conditions Across Several Regions of the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a warm weather situation for this Saturday, with relatively high temperatures across several regions of Morocco, accompanied by varying conditions depending on the area.
Warm Weather Across Several Regions of the Country
Temperatures will be relatively high in the plains located west of the Atlas Mountains, as well as in the eastern region, southeast, and southern parts of the Kingdom. This rise in temperatures will particularly affect the exposed inland areas.
Clouds and Possible Showers in Certain Areas
Cloudy spells will occasionally affect the Middle Atlas mountain ranges, the Mediterranean coast, and the northern part of the eastern region. Isolated drops of rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, may also be observed locally.
Morning Mist and Strong Winds
Low clouds and misty conditions are expected during the morning and night over the northern Atlantic plains and the northwestern provinces of the South. Additionally, moderate to strong gusts of wind will blow along the central coast, the eastern region, and the Saharan provinces.
Rising Temperatures in the South and East
Minimum temperatures will range from 5 to 10°C in the Atlas and Rif mountain ranges, and from 10 to 12°C in Gharb, the northern and central Atlantic plains. They will reach 19 to 21°C in the southeast and the extreme south, while the rest of the country will experience temperatures between 13 and 18°C.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the eastern region, southeast, and southern provinces, whereas a slight decrease is anticipated elsewhere.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, and mildly choppy to rough along the Atlantic coast.
