The **Société Régionale Multiservices Souss-Massa** continues its deployment of the Health and Safety at Work Week by organizing an open house in Tiznit, coinciding with the celebration of World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
A Sensitization Initiative at the Heart of Technical Trades
Held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, this stage builds on the initiative’s launch in Agadir before its expansion to all provincial departments in the region. The event brought together a substantial number of employees, as well as regional, provincial, and local officials.
Hands-On Workshops on Occupational Risks
The program featured workshops and demonstrations covering the primary areas of intervention of the company, including safety in the electrical sector, secure management of drinking water, and liquid sanitation operations. Participants had the opportunity to discover the safety equipment and protective devices used to mitigate occupational risks.
Workplace Safety: A Strategic Priority
In a statement to the press, Abdelkader Aït Salm, the provincial director of SRM Souss-Massa in Tiznit, emphasized that this initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to establishing a sustainable prevention culture. He stressed that workplace safety is now a strategic priority and not merely a one-off action.
The Goal of “Zero Accidents”
He also noted that this approach aims to enhance the training and awareness of staff, promoting safe professional practices and reducing workplace accidents, with the ultimate goal of achieving “zero accidents.”
Showcasing Protective Equipment
Employees were able to get an up-close look at personal and collective protective equipment used on job sites, including helmets, insulated clothing, safety shoes, and devices specific to electrical and hydraulic interventions.
A variety of awareness spaces were also set up, featuring posters and educational materials focused on good safety practices, in order to strengthen a culture of prevention and collective responsibility within work environments.
