On Wednesday in Rabat, Morocco’s Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, met with Mauritania’s Minister, Mohamed Maalainine Ould Eyih, to discuss strengthening cooperation in the fields of handicrafts and the social and solidarity economy. Both parties exchanged views on mutual interests and expressed their determination to enhance bilateral collaboration.

This cooperation will focus on training programs, the management of training institutions, the regulation of handicraft sectors, and trainer development. Discussions also encompassed the structural organization of the sector, the role of crafts chambers, and promotional strategies.

The Mauritanian delegation took the opportunity to visit training centers in Salé and artisanal cooperatives, providing an insight into Morocco’s initiatives in these areas.
