Alert Bulletin: Strong Winds and Snowfall Expected in Several Regions of Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange alert bulletin, forecasting strong gusts of wind accompanied by dust lifts this Thursday, May 14, as well as snowfalls in several mountainous regions of the Kingdom on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16.
Strong Wind Gusts Expected This Thursday
According to the same source, wind gusts are anticipated to reach between 70 and 85 km/h, accompanied by dust lifts, this Thursday, May 14, in the province of Figuig.
These phenomena are expected to occur between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Snowfall in the Mountains
The General Directorate of Meteorology also forecasts snowfall, with accumulations estimated between 10 and 25 cm, starting at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
The affected provinces include Ouarzazate, Azilal, Midelt, Tinghir, Taroudant, and Al Haouz. These snowfalls are expected from Friday at 6:00 PM until Saturday at 3:00 PM.
