Operation Marhaba 2026: The Mohammed V Foundation Launches Reception Program for Moroccans Worldwide

Operation Marhaba 2026 Launched for Moroccan Expats
Under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity launched Operation Marhaba 2026 on Wednesday. This national and international initiative aims to facilitate the welcome for Moroccans residing abroad during the summer season.
This operation, which has become a major annual event, seeks to ensure the best transit and reception conditions for members of the Moroccan community overseas when they return to the country. It mobilizes significant human, logistical, and medical resources in Morocco as well as in several European countries.
Launched in 2001, the Marhaba initiative is coordinated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity under the leadership of His Majesty the King. It relies on strong collaboration among various institutional actors and partners to provide comprehensive support for the flow of travelers.
The 2026 edition continues the work of previous campaigns, establishing welcome centers at key transit points, including ports, airports, and border areas. These centers offer social assistance, medical aid, and administrative guidance to travelers.
As in previous years, the operation is supported by teams composed of Foundation staff, doctors, social workers, and volunteers, who are available 24/7 throughout the summer period.
This initiative reflects the importance that the Kingdom places on its community abroad and aligns with its commitment to proximity, solidarity, and facilitating travel for Moroccans around the world.
