Weather in Morocco: Heat, thunderstorms, and strong winds expected this Wednesday, June 24.

Weather Forecast for Wednesday, June 24, 2026
The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts relatively warm to locally hot weather for Wednesday, June 24, 2026, particularly in the Oriental region, the southeastern parts of the Kingdom, and within the interior of the southern provinces.
This forecast aligns with a trend of high summer temperatures reported across several regions of Morocco.
Fog and Light Rain on the Coasts
Relatively dense low clouds, accompanied by foggy conditions or light precipitation, are expected along the Atlantic coasts, the Mediterranean coast, and the northwestern parts of the Saharan provinces. These conditions may locally reduce visibility, particularly during the early hours of the day.
Thunderstorm Risk in the Mountains
According to weather forecasts, unstable, thundery clouds are likely to develop over the Midd Atlas mountains and the high plateaus of the Oriental region. These disturbances could bring localized showers and thunderstorms in certain mountainous areas.
Moderate to Strong Winds and Dust Storms
Moderate to strong gusts of wind are also anticipated in the Atlas mountain range, the far southeast, the Oriental region, and various areas of the southern provinces. These winds may cause dust lifts, leading to reduced visibility on some roadways.
Minimum Temperatures Between 10 and 30°C
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 10 to 15°C in the peaks of the High Atlas. In contrast, temperatures in the Oriental region, the southeast, and the far south of the country will range from 24 to 30°C. The rest of the territory will see temperatures between 15 and 21°C.
Sea State
The sea will be calm to moderately agitated in the Mediterranean, calm to slightly agitated in the Strait of Gibraltar, and generally calm to moderately agitated between Boujdour and Laâyoune. Along the rest of the Atlantic coastline, the sea will remain relatively calm, providing generally favorable conditions for coastal navigation.
