Two Armed Individuals Arrested in Safi for Threats and Violent Resistance

Late Saturday night, officers from the Safi police prefecture apprehended two known offenders for their alleged involvement in carrying a knife without legitimate reason, threatening to commit crimes and offenses against individuals and property, as well as resisting arrest, according to a security source.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the two suspects were arrested in a neighborhood of the city after threatening public safety with a knife. They also obstructed control and arrest procedures, violently resisting the officers with the aid of two dangerous breed dogs.

In response to this threat, a senior police inspector was forced to use his service weapon as a precaution. One of the suspects was injured in the foot, as was one of the dogs that had been used against the police. This intervention successfully neutralized the threat.

Following this intervention, police seized the weapon used during the attack and handed the two dogs over to veterinary services. An investigation ordered by the competent prosecutor’s office is underway to clarify the circumstances surrounding this incident.
