Transitioning from Historical Ties to Strategic Cooperation

According to the French official, the ties between Rabat and Paris should no longer be confined to past achievements. He stressed the importance of building cooperation based on structural projects, sustainable investments, and a shared vision of development.

This new dynamic should facilitate the intensification of economic, industrial, technological, and institutional exchanges, while promoting the emergence of new partnerships between public and private stakeholders in both countries.

Future-Oriented Projects at the Heart of Bilateral Relations

Sébastien Lecornu highlighted the numerous opportunities presented by major projects underway in Morocco, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, transportation, energy transition, water management, innovation, and training.

The French official also underscored the necessity of mobilizing businesses from both countries to support this new phase of cooperation and to create greater shared value.

Cooperation Aligned with Tomorrow’s Major Challenges

The discussions held during this High-Level Meeting reaffirm the mutual desire of both governments to strengthen their partnership in strategic sectors.

The goal is to develop projects with significant economic and social impact that can support growth, stimulate investment, and foster skill exchanges across the Mediterranean. This approach continues the exceptional strengthened partnership that both countries have engaged in over recent years.

A Partnership Set to Take on a New Dimension

By calling for a “scale change,” Sébastien Lecornu reaffirmed France’s commitment to supporting Morocco in its major development projects and to bolstering cooperation based on innovation, investment, and shared interests.

This new direction illustrates the ambition of both partners to build an even closer relationship, capable of addressing the economic, industrial, and geopolitical challenges of the coming years.
