Aya Gold & Silver Strengthens Its Presence in Morocco with Acquisition of Three New Mining Projects

Aya Gold & Silver, a Canadian company, is continuing its expansion in Morocco with the acquisition of three new mining projects, covering a total area of approximately 259 km². This move aims to strengthen its exploration portfolio and diversify its opportunities in the precious and strategic metals sector.
The acquisition includes 3 mining permits and 18 exploration permits, spread across several areas with promising geological potential, notably near the Zgounder mine and surrounding mining territories.
The first asset, the Zagora project, spans about 158.6 km² and consists of 11 exploration permits. Initial data indicates the presence of nickel, cobalt, lead, zinc, silver, and gold.
The second project, Agadir-Melloul, covers nearly 68.5 km². It includes three mining permits and five exploration permits, with identified potential primarily in copper, silver, and gold, along with indications related to rare earth elements.
The third asset pertains to the Guelmim project, which encompasses around 32 km² across two exploration permits. Early studies have revealed signs of lead, silver, copper, and gold.
Through this operation, Aya Gold & Silver aims to accelerate its exploration activities in Morocco and capitalize on the Kingdom’s geological potential. This acquisition also comes amid a global context marked by growing demand for essential metals necessary for technological industries and the energy transition.
This latest expansion underscores the increasing interest of international mining groups in Morocco’s mineral potential and reinforces Aya Gold & Silver’s position among the active players in the exploration and development of the Kingdom’s mining resources.
