Bank Al-Maghrib Denies False Information Regarding an Investment Platform
Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has officially refuted the spread of false information that misuses its name. In a statement, the central bank clarified that an article, circulating as media content, falsely claimed to present an investment platform purportedly linked to BAM. This content, disseminated through a link impersonating a legitimate news website, fraudulently used the image of the Wali (Governor) of Bank Al-Maghrib and appears to have been generated by artificial intelligence tools.
The misleading article made false promises of profits associated with this investment platform, prompting BAM to rectify the situation. The bank asserted that this content is entirely fictitious and announced that it reserves the right to take all necessary actions to protect its image and rights.
