The AMMC Democratizes Crowdfunding with a New Educational Guide for Investors

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) released the ninth edition of its Investor’s Guide on Monday, this time focusing on crowdfunding, commonly known as Crowdfunding.
The main objective of this new publication is to popularize the fundamentals of Crowdfunding, enabling the general public to better understand this rapidly growing alternative financing method. By aligning with its mission of financial education, the AMMC aims to make investment more accessible to all.
The guide is structured into five chapters:
-
History, definition, and legal framework of Crowdfunding
-
Types, stakeholders, and functioning
-
Key participants in a Crowdfunding operation
-
Fundamentals for investing via Crowdfunding
-
A small glossary for better understanding
The AMMC explains in the guide that Crowdfunding emerged from the digital revolution, leveraging the Internet and social networks to raise funds from a wide audience, often in the form of small amounts. This model allows project creators—whether individuals or companies—to seek financing through specialized platforms.
This guide is part of the AMMC’s ongoing effort to raise awareness and support current and future investors, helping them to better master the key concepts of the capital market and new investment practices.
