Morocco and Singapore Enhance African Skills in Supply Chain Management
Morocco Reaffirms Commitment to South-South Cooperation
The fifth edition of the joint Morocco-Singapore-Sub-Saharan Africa capacity-building program concluded on Friday in Rabat, following several days of training focused on Supply Chain Management.
Organized by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) in partnership with the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP), this initiative aims to enhance the skills of African officials in the areas of logistics, trade facilitation, and public policy modernization.
Officials from 13 African Countries Gather in Rabat
The closing ceremony was presided over by Mohamed Methqal, Ambassador and Director General of AMCI. This edition brought together 22 directors and senior officials representing 13 Sub-Saharan African countries, who came to share their experiences and deepen their understanding of best practices in supply chain management.
The program combined training sessions, knowledge exchanges, and field visits to several key players in Morocco’s logistics ecosystem.
Highlighting Moroccan Logistics Expertise
Participants explored various reference infrastructures and institutions, including the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL), the Tanger Med port, Marsa Maroc, and the digital platform PORTNET.
These visits illuminated Morocco’s advancements in areas such as the digitization of procedures, streamlining trade exchanges, port management, and the development of logistical infrastructure.
Triangular Cooperation for African Development
This program exemplifies the dynamic triangular cooperation between Morocco, Singapore, and African countries. Its goal is to encourage the sharing of expertise, strengthen institutional capacities, and promote innovative solutions tailored to the continent’s challenges.
Beyond training, this initiative also helps to develop cooperative networks among African officials while fostering integration of regional value chains and improving public policies related to logistics and trade.
Through this partnership, Morocco solidifies its position as a key player in skill enhancement and the support of development strategies across Africa.
