Weather: Snowfall and Heavy Rain Alerts for Monday and Tuesday
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an alert concerning snowfall and heavy rainfall expected in several provinces of the Kingdom on Monday and Tuesday.
Specifically, snowfall of 5 to 30 cm is expected in areas above 1,700 meters. Between Monday at noon and Tuesday at 7 a.m., snowfall of 15 to 30 cm is anticipated in the provinces of Azilal, Béni Mellal, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz. The DGM has issued an orange alert bulletin for these regions.
The provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Taroudant, and Chichaoua are expected to experience snowfall of 5 to 10 cm during the same period.
Additionally, heavy rains (20 to 30 mm), locally thunderous and accompanied by hail, are expected on Tuesday from midnight to 7 a.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Errachidia, Midelt, and Tinghir, according to the DGM.
