Agrokem Invests 50 Million Dirhams in a Fertilizer and Biostimulant Factory in Morocco

Agricultural Supply Sector Investment Expands in Morocco

The agricultural supply sector continues its investment momentum in Morocco. The company Agrokem, specialized in plant nutrition solutions, has launched a project to construct a factory dedicated to the production of fertilizers and biostimulants in the industrial park of Ouled Teima, located in the heart of the Souss-Massa region. The planned investment exceeds 50 million dirhams.

This new industrial unit is part of the company’s development strategy, which aims to strengthen its presence in an evolving agricultural market and meet the growing demand for inputs designed to enhance crop performance.

A Strategic Location in the Heart of the Souss Agricultural Basin

The choice of Ouled Teima is not coincidental. Located in one of Morocco’s main fruit and vegetable production areas, this site serves as a major hub for Moroccan agriculture and is home to numerous operators specializing in agricultural sectors.

Already active in the region through several storage and distribution platforms, Agrokem now intends to take a new step by developing its own production capacity to better serve local and national farms.

A Factory Set to Be Operational by 2027

According to the announced schedule, the commissioning of this new unit is expected by the end of 2027.

The factory will produce a range of fertilizers and biostimulants aimed at enhancing crop nutrition, optimizing agricultural yields, and supporting farmers in adopting more efficient and sustainable practices.

The project will also create approximately thirty direct jobs, generating new economic opportunities in the Souss-Massa region.

A Rapidly Expanding Sector

Agrokem’s investment confirms the growing attractiveness of the Agadir region for agrochemical and fertilizer industry players. In recent years, several companies have chosen to develop new production capacities there in order to support the modernization of Moroccan agriculture and respond to a sector facing the challenges of climate change and natural resource management.

With this new factory, Agrokem aims to solidify its position in the national market while contributing to the development of a more competitive and innovation-driven agriculture.
