BYD Strengthens Its Presence in Morocco with the Launch of the ATTO 3 EVO and SEALION 5 Super Hybrid
Auto Nejma Launches New BYD Electric and Hybrid Models in Morocco
Auto Nejma, the exclusive distributor of the BYD brand in Morocco, is ramping up its presence in the national market with the launch of two new energy-efficient vehicle models: the fully electric BYD ATTO 3 EVO and the plug-in hybrid SUV BYD SEALION 5 Super Hybrid.
Through this new lineup, the Chinese manufacturer aims to solidify its position in the sustainable mobility segment by offering vehicles that combine technological innovation, energy efficiency, comfort, and safety.
The BYD ATTO 3 EVO is built on the e-Platform 3.0, specifically designed for electric vehicles. It features a modernized design and a reworked interior that provides more space and improved comfort. The vehicle is equipped with a rotating touchscreen, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the smart voice command system Hi BYD for a more connected driving experience.
On the other hand, the BYD SEALION 5 Super Hybrid incorporates DM-i technology, which combines a low-consumption internal combustion engine with electric powertrains. This configuration ensures a smooth driving experience while significantly reducing fuel consumption, with a spacious interior suitable for both daily commutes and long journeys.
In terms of range, the ATTO 3 EVO boasts a distance of up to 710 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, catering to both urban and intercity travel needs.
The SEALION 5 Super Hybrid can travel up to 120 kilometers on 100% electric mode for city driving, with a total range of 1,016 kilometers, achieving an average consumption limited to 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers.
Both models are equipped with the Blade Battery technology developed by BYD, based on LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry, known for its safety, durability, and long lifespan.
To support this commercial push, Auto Nejma relies on a distribution and after-sales service network spanning Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Tangier, Agadir, Fes, and Oujda. The manufacturer offers a warranty of 6 years or 150,000 kilometers on the vehicle and 8 years or 200,000 kilometers on the battery, with a spare parts availability rate of 95%.
According to Adel Bennani, General Manager of Auto Nejma, the launch of these two models signifies a new milestone in BYD’s development in Morocco, reflecting the brand’s ambition to democratize electric and hybrid mobility solutions through high-performing, reliable, and technologically advanced vehicles.
The BYD ATTO 3 EVO is available for purchase in Morocco starting at 355,900 dirhams, while the BYD SEALION 5 Super Hybrid starts at 299,900 dirhams, thus strengthening the range of low-emission vehicles in the Moroccan market.
