Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Modest Gain

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Friday with a slightly positive tone. Its main index, the “MASI,” increased by 0.12%, reaching 17,762.68 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of the 20 largest listed companies, also saw a rise of 0.25%, settling at 1,381.96 points. Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises, recorded an increase of 0.27%, reaching 1,932.58 points.
On the other hand, the “MASI.ESG” index, which encompasses companies with the best performance in terms of environmental, social, and governance criteria, experienced a slight decline of 0.05%, landing at 1,329.13 points.
For context, the MASI had closed Thursday’s session with a marginal decrease of 0.02%.
