CFG Bank strengthens its management team with the appointment of Issam Mghabbar as Deputy General Manager (DGM). He has been in this role since June 2026 and will oversee the Treasury and Market Activities division.
This appointment is a continuation of Issam Mghabbar’s journey within the bank and supports the development that has taken place over recent years in market activities.
Issam Mghabbar at the Heart of Market Activity Development
At CFG Bank, Issam Mghabbar has notably contributed to the structuring and acceleration of the division dedicated to market activities.
His journey has been marked by his support in launching new activities, particularly in trading and market-making, as well as by the gradual enhancement of the bank’s capabilities in these areas.
The objective has also been to improve execution and risk management capabilities while expanding the offerings available to institutional clients, businesses, and investors.
A Strategic Division for CFG Bank
The development of these activities has relied on the teams in the Trading Room, in coordination with other divisions of CFG Bank.
This organization has allowed the bank to solidify its positioning in activities where risk management, liquidity, client proximity, and innovation play a crucial role.
The appointment of Issam Mghabbar as DGM thus reinforces the governance of a division that is expected to address the evolving needs of players in the Moroccan market.
Moroccan Capital Markets in Full Evolution
This evolution occurs in a context of continuous transformation in the Moroccan capital markets. The growing needs for risk coverage, liquidity, and financing create new opportunities for financial institutions active in these segments.
For CFG Bank, the strengthening of its executive team comes at a time when market activities are gaining increasing importance in supporting businesses, investors, and institutional players.
With this new responsibility, Issam Mghabbar will be tasked with continuing the development of the Treasury and Market Activities division and contributing to the consolidation of CFG Bank’s position in the capital markets.
