Demnate Successfully Hosts the Inaugural "Trail Demnate"
The city of Demnate recently held its first edition of the mountain race, "Trail Demnate," attracting over 140 athletes from various regions across Morocco. Initiated by the Ajial Demnate Association for Cycling and Mountain Sports, this event aims to promote outdoor sports while showcasing the region’s rich tourist and ecological assets.
Participants competed on two routes of 12 km and 26 km, navigating through forests, mountain trails, and iconic sites. In the men’s 26 km main event, Brahim Khalifa claimed victory, finishing ahead of Nacer Eddahabi and Mehdi Ait Mdouh. In the women’s category for the 12 km distance, Fadwa Rouchdin triumphed over Kaoutar El Hamra and Hasnaa Roudin.
The organizers aspire to establish the "Trail Demnate" as an annual event that promotes eco-tourism through sports and stimulates local economic activity. The first edition concluded with a trophy presentation ceremony, celebrated in a festive atmosphere, and was praised for its exceptional organization.
