International Recognition for Calliope and Language Education in Morocco
The city of Casablanca is set to host a major international educational event on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, organized by the Calliope Group in partnership with Cambridge University Press & Assessment. This ceremony will mark the official announcement of Calliope achieving the status of a Cambridge Platinum Exam Centre, making it the first Cambridge exam center in Morocco, Africa, and the Middle East to reach this level of distinction. This accreditation represents the highest level of recognition awarded by Cambridge University Press & Assessment to centers authorized to conduct English language exams, rewarding excellence, consistency, and a commitment to the highest international standards in language assessment and education.
The event will be distinguished by the presence of Ms. Francesca Woodward, Global Managing Director for English at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, who will visit Morocco specifically for this occasion. Notable national and international figures from the education and training sectors, as well as representatives from schools across the Kingdom’s various regions will also be present. The ceremony will honor five Moroccan educational institutions that will receive the Cambridge English Educational Partner (CEEP) label, in recognition of their commitment to excellence in English teaching and their adoption of best international pedagogical practices.
This event marks an important milestone in the development of language education in Morocco and reflects the growing role that Moroccan educational institutions play within the international educational ecosystem. Beyond the distinction awarded to Calliope, this recognition also puts Morocco in the spotlight on the international educational stage, showcasing Moroccan education stakeholders’ ability to meet the highest global standards in teaching and language skills assessment.
