JAIDA Expands Its Operations and Transfers Headquarters to Casablanca

JAIDA Financial Company Prepares for New Development Phase in Morocco
JAIDA, a financial company in Morocco, is gearing up for a significant new phase in its development. Historically focused on financing microcredit organizations, JAIDA intends to expand its scope to include players in the social and solidarity economy. This evolution is accompanied by changes in its shareholder structure, governance, and location, particularly marked by the exit of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and the full acquisition of its shares by Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG).
These transformations are among the main resolutions set to be presented to shareholders at the upcoming mixed general assembly scheduled for November 23, 2026. They reflect a desire to adapt JAIDA’s positioning to a broader operational scope, following the authorization granted by Bank Al-Maghrib.
JAIDA Expands Its Focus Beyond Microcredit
The change in JAIDA’s corporate purpose is one of the central points of discussion for this assembly. The company now aims to work with organizations in the social and solidarity economy, in addition to its longstanding activities with Moroccan microcredit organizations.
This extension is supported by a new authorization issued by Bank Al-Maghrib on September 17, 2025. It is expected to allow JAIDA to diversify its interventions and support a wider array of economic actors.
The proposed change to the company’s statutes also includes the possibility for JAIDA to take equity stakes in enterprises operating within these two sectors or developing complementary activities. Furthermore, JAIDA will retain its authorization to receive public funds with maturities exceeding one year, in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.
This evolution could strengthen the company’s role in financing structures that contribute to economic and social development while broadening the categories of organizations that may benefit from its interventions.
CDG Takes Over CDC’s Stake
The transformation of JAIDA also affects its shareholder structure. The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations transferred all of its shares to CDG on September 29, 2026, the same date it exited the board of directors.
Shareholders will be asked to acknowledge this resignation and vote on the appointment of Lalla Wafaa Naim El Idrissi as a director. Proposed by the board of directors on October 21, 2026, this appointment would be for a three-year term, concluding at the end of the general assembly responsible for approving the financial accounts for the 2029 fiscal year.
This governance change accompanies the restructuring of capital and the new strategic direction envisioned by the company. The exit of the CDC also necessitates the removal of references to this institution in JAIDA’s statutes.
JAIDA’s Headquarters to Be Relocated to Casablanca Finance City
Another significant change to be voted on by shareholders is the transfer of JAIDA’s headquarters from Rabat to Casablanca. The company plans to establish itself in Casablanca Finance City, located in the business district of the metropolis, at Main Street, lot 60.
This move will require an amendment to Article 4 of the statutes, which sets the company’s headquarters. It is part of a series of statutory revisions aimed at aligning with changes in shareholder structure and operational scope.
The mixed general assembly will take place virtually on November 23, 2026, at 3:30 PM. Shareholders will need to vote on all proposed resolutions concerning the corporate purpose, composition of the board of directors, headquarters relocation, and statutory updates.
A New Phase of Development for JAIDA
Through these changes, JAIDA is preparing for a simultaneous evolution of its activities, governance, and administrative organization. The expansion into the social and solidarity economy represents the principal strategic shift, while the acquisition of the CDC’s stake by the CDG reshapes its shareholder structure.
The relocation of the headquarters to Casablanca Finance City completes this reorganization. These decisions aim to enable the company to adapt its statutory framework to its new configuration and development ambitions in financing actors in the social and solidarity economy as well as microcredit.
