A European Platform at the Heart of the Strategy
The acquisition was executed through the Europhan platform, based in Luxembourg, which will serve as a leverage point to guide and structure the group’s international development across Europe.
This transaction further enhances Laprophan’s international presence, complementing its existing operations in India, the United Arab Emirates, and Côte d’Ivoire.
An Expanded Industrial Presence
With this acquisition, Laprophan integrates Rivopharm’s industrial and development capabilities in Switzerland, along with its subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Lithuania.
As a result, the group significantly expands its international footprint, consolidating its presence in over 30 markets worldwide.
Industrial and Strategic Synergies
This endeavor is built on the complementary strengths of both companies, especially in production, research and development, and marketing.
It is expected to enable Laprophan to bolster its capabilities in pharmaceutical development and further advance its B2B operations on an international scale.
A Global Ambition Originating from Morocco
According to the group’s management, this acquisition represents a crucial milestone in the transformation of Laprophan, which aims to establish itself as a global pharmaceutical platform originating from Morocco.
This operation will diversify its business model and accelerate its growth in high-value markets.
A Historic Moroccan Player Gaining Momentum
Founded over 75 years ago, Laprophan is among the leading pharmaceutical groups in Morocco, with more than 500 products spanning 14 therapeutic areas and an annual revenue exceeding $250 million.
With this acquisition, the group affirms its transition from a national player to a prominent international figure in the pharmaceutical industry.
