Laprophan Goes Public with a 2.22 Billion Dirham Offer

Moroccan Pharmaceutical Group Laprophan Takes a Significant Step Forward with Casablanca Stock Exchange Listing
The Moroccan pharmaceutical company Laprophan has marked a new milestone in its development with its introduction on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) granted approval on October 28, 2026, for the prospectus of this operation, which has a maximum total amount of 2.22 billion dirhams. The subscription price is set at 341 dirhams per share, with a subscription period scheduled from November 9 to November 17, 2026.
A 2.22 Billion Dirham Operation
Laprophan’s stock market entry comprises two complementary components. The first is a public capital increase amounting to approximately 1.4 billion dirhams, including the issuance premium. The second involves the sale of 2,412,200 existing shares held by MC IV Pharma and MC IV Morocco, amounting to a maximum of 822.56 million dirhams.
In total, the offer represents up to 2,222,535,700 dirhams. Following the operation, the shares offered to the public will represent 37.64% of the group’s capital and voting rights.
This initiative comes at a time when Laprophan is looking to bolster its financial resources to support its growth, industrial investments, and ongoing acquisition strategy both in Morocco and internationally.
Financing Growth and Industrial Investments
The initial public offering aims to strengthen the company’s financial structure and mobilize additional resources for development projects. Laprophan plans to continue expanding its portfolio of medicines while enhancing its production capacities as well as its research and development activities.
In recent years, the laboratory has accelerated its expansion through several external growth initiatives. In 2024, it acquired Amanys Pharma, enhancing its presence in hospital medications, oncology, and antibiotic production. That same year, it took a 75% stake in Botanic Pharma, a firm specializing in dietary supplements.
In February 2026, the group also acquired 60% of the Swiss company Rivopharm, thereby solidifying its industrial and commercial presence in Europe.
Another acquisition is underway with Corporate Investment Holding, the parent company of the Polymedic laboratory. The contract was signed in October 2026, but the finalization of this transaction remains subject to the required regulatory approvals, particularly from the Competition Council.
A Pharmaceutical Group Operating in Over 50 Countries
Founded in 1949, Laprophan has gradually expanded its operations in research, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of medicines. The group claims to have a portfolio of over 1,300 marketing authorizations, covering 15 therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular diseases, digestive disorders, infectious diseases, and oncology.
Its industrial framework is supported by four sites located in Morocco and Switzerland, covering approximately 76,500 square meters of built-up area. According to data provided by the group, its industrial capacity exceeds 180 million sales units per year, including planned developments.
Laprophan employs nearly 1,450 people and markets its products—either directly or indirectly—in more than 50 countries. This international presence is one of the strategic axes of its development, alongside the strengthening of its industrial and scientific activities.
A New Chapter for the Moroccan Pharmaceutical Industry
Through this stock market entry, Laprophan aims to facilitate its scale-up and support its ambitions in both the Moroccan and international markets. The funds raised are expected to help finance external growth, enhance its industrial tools, and continue developing its product portfolio.
This operation comes at a time when the group is integrating its recent acquisitions and preparing for new investments. Its successful maneuver on the stock market will be a significant step in this strategy, while the announced subscription period from November 9 to 17, 2026, will allow the public to participate in the offer under the terms defined in the AMMC-approved prospectus.
