Mastercard Appoints Yasemin Bedir as President for EEMEA Region

Mastercard has announced the appointment of Yasemin Bedir as the new president for its Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region, effective September 1, 2026. Spanning 81 countries, this region represents a strategic market for the company, driven by significant growth prospects.

With nearly 20 years of experience at Mastercard, Yasemin Bedir will be responsible for shaping and leading the group’s strategy across the region, as well as overseeing its operations and development.

Based in the United Arab Emirates, she will also join the Mastercard Executive Committee, further reinforcing her role within the group’s governance structure.

Yasemin Bedir will succeed Dimitrios Dosis, who has recently been appointed as Chief Commercial Payments Officer of Mastercard. In his new role, Dosis will be tasked with overseeing commercial payment activities and developing new payment streams.

This appointment comes at a time marked by the rapid acceleration of digital transformation in financial services and the swift development of electronic payments across the EEMEA markets.

With this new organizational setup, Mastercard aims to continue expanding its operations in a region characterized by diverse markets and significant potential for financial innovation, inclusion, and payment digitization.
