Morocco Celebrates World Immunization Week under the Slogan “We Love Our Children, Let’s Protect Them Through Vaccination”

The Kingdom of Morocco, in alignment with the international community, is celebrating World Vaccination Week from April 20 to April 24, under the slogan: “We love our children, let’s protect them through vaccination.”
A Reminder of the Importance of Vaccination
In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection emphasizes that this week serves as an opportunity to highlight the significance of vaccination, regarded as one of the best investments in public health and a vital pillar of primary healthcare.
It is also a fundamental element in safeguarding children’s health and contributes to the overall health security of the nation.
A National Commitment Supported by Royal Guidance
The ministry reminds us that this national commitment continues the special attention given by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the health of citizens, placing Morocco in a reference position for child health protection, in line with the provisions of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
A Strengthened National Immunization Program
The National Immunization Program, overseen by the Ministry of Health, continues to mobilize its resources to ensure optimal vaccination coverage.
It guarantees the free provision and continuous availability of vaccines against 12 targeted diseases, as well as the implementation of a national vaccination schedule that is regularly updated based on the recommendations of the national scientific and technical advisory committee.
Adaptation to Health Challenges
The program also monitors epidemiological developments at both national and international levels, ensuring that the healthcare system is continually adapted to scientific advancements and new health challenges.
A Call for Collective Engagement
The ministry emphasizes that the success of this preventive policy relies on the responsible involvement of all societal actors, particularly adherence to the national vaccination schedule.
It also warns against misinformation and false narratives that can jeopardize children’s health and undermine prevention efforts.
Finally, the ministry calls on citizens, healthcare professionals, and partners to strengthen their mobilization to promote a culture of prevention and protect future generations.
