Rabat-Salé Airport Shows Strong Growth in Early 2026
Rabat-Salé Airport has continued its growth trajectory in the first half of 2026, confirming the robust state of air travel in Morocco. Driven by sustained demand and enhanced air connectivity, the airport recorded a significant increase in both passenger numbers and aircraft movements.
According to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA), 1,217,574 travelers passed through the airport from January to June 2026, up from 1,060,480 during the same period in 2025, marking a remarkable rise of 14.8%.
June itself also showcased strong performance, with the airport welcoming 215,416 passengers compared to 185,231 a year earlier, reflecting an increase of 16.3%.
Air traffic mirrored this positive trend, with the number of aircraft movements reaching 8,663 during the first six months of the year, up from 7,396 in the same timeframe in 2025, representing a growth of 17.13%.
On a national scale, Moroccan airports welcomed 18,831,461 passengers during the first half of 2026, compared to 17,303,047 in the previous year, marking an overall increase of 8.83%.
These results underscore the ongoing recovery of air transport in Morocco and highlight the efforts being made to strengthen airport infrastructure, expand flight connections, and support the continuous rise in passenger traffic.
