Morocco Launches eTrade.ma, a Digital Platform to Boost Exportation for Businesses

Morocco takes a significant step forward in the digitalization of its foreign trade with the official launch of eTrade.ma, a national e-commerce platform dedicated to exporting companies. Presented in Benguérir, on the campus of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), this digital solution aims to promote Moroccan products internationally and enhance exchanges between domestic firms and foreign buyers.

Launched by the State Secretariat for Foreign Trade in partnership with UM6P, the platform initially rolls out in a pilot phase before gradually being opened to all Moroccan exporters.

A Digital Showcase for Moroccan Products

Designed as a true digital showcase of Morocco’s exportable offerings, eTrade.ma will allow companies to present their products interactively and connect directly with business partners worldwide.

The platform especially targets SMEs and very small enterprises (VSEs), providing them with simplified access to international market opportunities through digital tools that enhance visibility, commercial prospecting, and connections with foreign buyers.

A Lever for the National Foreign Trade Strategy

The launch of eTrade.ma is part of the implementation of the Foreign Trade Program 2025-2027, which identifies digital transformation as a key driver for enhancing the competitiveness of Moroccan exports.

This initiative also aligns with royal directives aimed at solidifying Morocco’s position as a regional and continental trade hub, while boosting the competitiveness of national companies in international markets.

By 2027, the platform aims to gather nearly 1,000 exporting companies and contribute to generating over 15 billion dirhams in additional export revenue.

Two Partnerships to Strengthen the Ecosystem

The platform’s launch was also marked by the signing of two partnership agreements aimed at enhancing the services offered to exporters.

The first brings together the State Secretariat for Foreign Trade, PortNet S.A., the OCP Foundation, and UM6P. It plans to interconnect eTrade.ma with the National Desk for Foreign Trade Procedures, thereby simplifying the administrative procedures related to export operations.

The second agreement involves the State Secretariat, the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, Chronopost International Morocco, UM6P, and the OCP Foundation. Its objective is to develop innovative logistical solutions directly integrated into the platform to facilitate the transport and delivery of products destined for international markets.

A New Tool for the Competitiveness of Exporters

With eTrade.ma, Morocco aims to accelerate the digital transformation of its foreign trade, providing companies with a more efficient environment to develop their international activities.

By centralizing promotion, networking, logistics, and support services, this platform aspires to be a strategic lever for strengthening the presence of Moroccan products in global markets and supporting the growth of national exports.
