Nairobi: The Moroccan Education System Praised as an “Exceptional Model” for Africa (Emmanuel Macron)

A "Remarkable Revolution" in Education in Morocco
During the closing ceremony of the economic forum "Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect," held ahead of the "Africa Forward" summit, Emmanuel Macron remarked that the progress made by Morocco in the field of education represents a "remarkable revolution." He emphasized that the achievements of Morocco’s educational and university systems reflect a profound transformation in the sector, particularly evident through the outstanding performance of its institutions on an international scale.
Investment at the Heart of the Africa-Europe Partnership
The French president also announced an investment of €23 billion directed towards Africa, aimed at generating more than 250,000 direct jobs between Europe and the African continent. He underscored the interdependence between Europe and Africa, asserting that the African continent primarily needs structural investments rather than traditional public aid.
A Large-Scale Economic Forum
The "Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect" forum gathered over 1,500 economic decision-makers, investors, and public officials from Africa, France, and other regions of the world. Discussions focused on growth challenges, investment opportunities, and the economic transformation of the African continent.
Strong Mobilization of Economic Actors
The closing ceremony was attended by Morocco’s Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch. The event was also marked by workshops, B2B meetings, and exchanges among executives of large companies, SMEs, and young entrepreneurs, as well as representatives from the public sector.
