ONCF: Controlled Growth in Activity for the First Quarter of 2026

ONCF Continues Steady Growth in the First Quarter of 2026
The National Office of Railways (ONCF) is on a stable growth trajectory in the first quarter of 2026, confirming the resilience of its passenger services and the ongoing expansion of its freight and phosphate transport segments.
According to the latest published indicators, ONCF has reported an increase in its revenue, driven primarily by the performance of passenger transport, which remains the key growth engine of Morocco’s national railway network.
In the first three months of the year, passenger traffic has shown significant growth, reflecting the continued appeal of trains as the preferred mode of transport for daily and intercity commuting. This momentum is further bolstered by the contribution of the high-speed train Al Boraq, which continues to play a crucial role in sustainable mobility in Morocco.
Meanwhile, the freight and phosphate transport operations are gradually recovering, helping to solidify the Office’s overall revenues in an economic context characterized by significant logistical and industrial challenges.
ONCF remains committed to its development strategy, focused on modernizing the network, enhancing service quality, and strengthening its financial performance, while continuing to invest in infrastructure to support the growth of rail mobility in Morocco.
This performance is part of the ongoing efforts made in recent years to reinforce the role of rail as a vital pillar of sustainable mobility and economic development in the Kingdom.
