Ryanair Strengthens Its Presence in Morocco with 5.3 Million Seats for Winter

Ryanair Strengthens Partnership with Moroccan National Tourism Office

Eddie Wilson, the Chief Executive Officer of Ryanair, visited Rabat on Tuesday to reinforce the strategic partnership between the airline and the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT). For the winter season of 2026-2027, the airline plans to offer a record 5.3 million seats across 156 routes, including 17 new destinations.

This new schedule marks a significant step in the development of Ryanair’s operations in Morocco, driven by the ONMT’s strategy to enhance the country’s air connectivity and attract more tourists from emerging markets.

During his visit, Eddie Wilson emphasized the company’s commitment to the Moroccan market, highlighting the launch of new connections from Rabat, Agadir, and Marrakech. He also mentioned Ryanair’s technological investments aimed at streamlining the passenger experience at airports.

As part of its expansion, the airline is opening a new base in Rabat, its fifth in Morocco, and allocating two additional aircraft to its operations. Ryanair now has a total of 16 planes based in the Kingdom, representing a cumulative investment of $1.6 billion and supporting more than 8,500 local jobs.

The strengthening of the airline network also benefits various destinations beyond the main tourist hubs, including Fez, Tetouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla, and Nador.

For the ONMT, this development aligns with its strategy to increase air capacity, diversify the source markets, and consolidate connections with Europe. It also reflects Ryanair’s confidence in Morocco’s tourism potential and the sector’s growth prospects.
